7 Yoga Poses to Heal Your 7 Chakras

  1. Root Chakra (Muladhara) – Tree Pose (Vrksasana)

The Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine and is associated with grounding, stability, and survival. Balancing provides a sense of security and connection to the earth.

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart.
  • Shift your weight onto your left foot.  
  • Place the sole of your right foot on your left inner thigh, calf, or ankle (avoid the knee).
  • Bring your palms together at your heart center or raise them overhead.
  • Hold for 5-10 breaths, then switch sides.
  1. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) – Pigeon Pose (Eka Pada Rajakapotasana)

The Sacral Chakra is located just below the navel and is associated with creativity, pleasure, and emotions. A balanced sacral chakra allows for healthy emotional expression and creativity.

  • Start in a downward-facing dog position.
  • Bring your right knee forward towards your right wrist.
  • Extend your left leg back, keeping your hips square.
  • Lower your torso down, either resting on your hands or forearms.
  • Hold for 5-10 breaths, then switch sides.
  1. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) – Boat Pose (Navasana)

The Solar Plexus Chakra is located in the upper abdomen and is associated with personal power, self-esteem, and confidence. When balanced, it enhances your sense of control and self-worth.

  • Sit on the floor with your knees bent and feet flat.
  • Lean back slightly, keeping your back straight.
  • Lift your feet off the ground, bringing your shins parallel to the floor.
  • Extend your arms forward, parallel to the floor.
  • Hold for 5-10 breaths.
  1. Heart Chakra (Anahata) – Camel Pose (Ustrasana)

The Heart Chakra is located at the center of the chest and is associated with love, compassion, and connection. A balanced heart chakra allows for giving and receiving love freely.

  • Lift your legs up and over your head, bringing your toes to the floor behind you.
  • Keep your hands on your lower back for support or extend them on the floor.

  1. Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) – Forward Fold Pose (Uttanasana)

The Third Eye Chakra is located between the eyebrows and is associated with intuition, insight, and inner wisdom. When balanced, it enhances your ability to see and understand the bigger picture.

  • Stand with your feet hip-width apart.
  • Bend forward at the hips, bringing your chest towards your thighs.
  • Let your head hang heavy and relax your neck.
  • Hold your elbows or let your hands rest on the floor.
